TENSUM — Context Study
The zones of silence in the outer margins of the vertical composition establish a spatial pause before the gaze meets the chromatic planes of the canvas. The strong contrast between the misty ochre upper section and the dense mass of indigo blue generates an immediate visual tension, structured by fine linear incisions dividing the surface. In technical terms, the layering of acrylic and oil creates a textured, scraped material that suggests physical wear, inviting a close and tactile relationship with the spectator in motion. Observing the work installed in the room, the gaze descends through the graphic diagonals and stops at the small luminous block at the lower right end, which acts as a pole of light attraction. The visual journey is thus organized in a descending movement that traverses the entire pictorial plane.
