In his essay on "The Tactile Shore," Maurizio Valch warns that the limits of the linguistic map must not be confused with the actual territory, proposing instead to conceive boundaries as spaces of encounter and friction rather than defensive trenches. This notion materializes with force when the canvas is exposed to the luminous accidents of the courtyard: the analytical distance between viewer and work collapses as both integrate into the same atmosphere of stone, wood, and foliage. The horizontal incisions traversing the painting act here as an open suture, a seam connecting the artist's mental construction with the uncontrollable fluidity of the present.
