INTERVALLUM en un mockup de interior
The vertical plane of classical boiserie and the geometric pattern of the polished marble floor define the spatial frame for the painting. Resting directly on the ground, the 80 by 120 cm canvas establishes an intimate, tactile scale that contrasts with the stately height of the walls. Natural side light from an arched window strikes at an oblique angle, emphasizing the artwork's physical volume and directing the eye upward. The visual journey moves from the lower olive-green band with its incised stair-like marks, through the expansive central yellow field broken by an ochre circle, and rests on the dense black stratum above, where vertical drips and three small raised wood blocks disrupt the flat canvas. The oil and acrylic layers reveal delicate glazes and rich, spatula-worked textures built up along the edges of the support.
