ADITUS — Context Study

ADITUS, a work from the LIMINA series, presents a vertical composition where horizontal rhythms subtly segment the space with a delicate tension. Dense, material fields of dark blue, earthy brown, and intense black extend, creating a surface that suggests geological sedimentation. Precise incisions and fine lines interrupt these planes, delineating horizons and divisions, some almost tectonic. Upon this worked texture, blocks of vibrant color—yellow and crimson red—emerge as striking counterpoints. A white square, suspended at the top, from where vertical drips flow, introduces a downward movement. The surface is perceived as skin or terrain, inviting tactile observation.
