Conceptual Note

Red-brown vertical axis sharply divides the canvas into two contrasting abstract territories, each revealing distinct textural applications and color fields. To the left, a complex, layered landscape unfolds with a rising diagonal movement, composed of warm orange, yellow, and green-brown fields. Visible brushstrokes and areas of palette knife work build distinct textural variations across these planes, suggesting the worked surface of a constructed terrain. Small, rectangular red forms are positioned at various depths, appearing as deliberate anchors within this terrestrial segment.

Contrasting this, the right panel presents a more expansive and horizontally organized space. Wide bands of light blue, soft grey, and pale yellow extend to a vibrant orange-red foreground. A large, burnt orange disc floats centrally within the upper blue field, balanced by a solitary red rectangular form positioned near the central divider and another with subtle internal divisions towards the lower right.
